Emerald is made up of beryl, a naturally occurring mineral. Emeralds vary in colour from ‘emerald green’ to more blueish hues, with traces of iron, chromium and vanadium all contributing to these differences in colour.

Emerald has long been considered to have relaxing and calming properties. It is incredibly common for emeralds to include ‘imperfections’ or ‘inclusions’, often referred to as ‘jardin’, meaning ‘garden’ in French. The risk of them cracking further means setting them into jewelry requires great precision and skill

Our emeralds are primarily sourced from Colombia and Zambia.
